Schoongezicht began as a dream....

It was the dream of several like-minded overseas investors, who had already seen most of the world, who were now searching for a place for themselves where they would be able to fulfill their personal ideas and concepts for a future home.

This place was to be close to the sea and beaches, where the beauty of nature was still largely unspoiled, with a moderate, healthy climate and plenty of sunshine, while the
Northern Hemissphere was in the grip of winter. An area where the infrastructure is functioning, excellent restaurants and shopping facilities are available, with all essential services in close proximity. An area where one can leisurely pursue most sporting interests, in particular golf at different cources, as well as tennis and water sports, without being surrounded by endless streams of tourists.

In such surroundings they wanted to build their Mediterranean-style houses which would allow „a dream come true“ – a comfortable, relaxed outdoor lifestyle.

They found this jewel in South Africa, along the beautiful Garden Route – in Plettenberg Bay – and they called it - Schoongezicht
