The Estate and Facilities
Schoongezicht Country Estate is approximately 60 ha in extent, in a landscape of gentle hills rising to 140 m. the estate is located close to the main beaches of Plettenberg Bay, on South Africa’s east coast.
The whole development was designed by a well-known landscape architect, Anthony Wain, of Cape Town in close co-opereration with Cape Nature Conservation and environmental authorities in order to preserve the unique character of the estate.
The 190 x stands vary between 1050 m and 3350 m in size.
BOARDWALK TRAILS AND WETLANDS
Nearly two kilometers of boardwalk takes you through pristine indigenous forest and thicket.
CENTRAL LOCATION TO TOWN
Plettenberg Bay town centre is a short drive away, as are a number of restaurants, grocery stores and schools.
HIGH TECH SECURITY AND RESPONSE
The estate acces gate is controlled on a 24 hour basis while high tec surveilance equipment and patrolling secures the perimiter.
INCLUSION OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
The estate follows strict guidelines in terms of natural gardens, green belt commonage as well as conservation of the natural environment.
